Gentle, Effective: Gets rid of old acne spotting, keeps face clean, stops new acne., 2008-05-04I've had acne since I was 11 years old. I'm 21 now. Like many acne sufferers I have tried everything, from the expensive brands, to the generic. Yes, it has been frustrating and I've hated, like many of you, looking into the mirror and cringing.
I came upon the Philosophy brand and like many other times, gave it a try. I was really pleasantly surprised how this product worked so quickly and saw results within a couple of days on the outer level of my skin. Here is a summary:
1. The cleanser is soothing and has a wonderful after feel, leaving my skin soft, smooth, and very clean but not drying it out. The best part? I never felt that awful tightening feeling most medicated cleansers leave.
2. The serum and H2O2 lotion are the most important aspects of the treatment. The serum sanitized my skin and reacted positively with the H2O2 lotion. Even cystic acne became less frequent, and my old spots disappeared. The best part? My skin in many places has the dewy look I never thought I would get, and because I never miss the essential treatment at night, I have never woke up with a surprising 'bump'.
3. The day lotion. After cleansing, the serum, and the H2O2 lotion, this hydrating protective seal is to allow the products to work without the interference of environmental radicals. The best part? My face feels matte-finished all day, and it protects against the clogging of pores.
What you should know is that everyone's skin is different, if you have extreme acne a dermatologist is your best bet. I had repeated breakouts in certain areas on my face the ranged from white-heads, black-heads, and rarely cysts, so this product was a good fit.
I encourage anyone, with the exception of extreme acne individuals, to try the kit out. It not only cleared my acne, it really gave me a second chance at having skin I only thought was in magazines or air-brushed.
I really never had multiple acne ever again, and it has been 6 months since my last zit. To make sure my skin does not become used to the ingredients and less effective, I have begun to incorporate different moisturizes, and play with organic and natural fruit scrubs.
