3OK, but not all that jazzy, 2008-10-21
After reading all of the glowing reviews, I was somewhat eager to taste what cashew juice would be like. Much to my surmise, it wasn't all that bad. But, it definitely was not worth all of the excess hype. It tasted somewhat like a very watered down version of carrot/pineapple/orange tropical fruit juice with a mild nutty aftertaste. Whoo whee. No magic or sparks. Now I can get on with my life. Not that bad of product, but nothing you can't afford to passup.

One thing I didn't like was that despite the depiction of a straw on the front of the carton, one did not come with my shipment. I don't know if got lost upon delivery or if one simply does not come with it at all. If the latter is the case, then I think it's a bit unfair to be that misleading. I know for sure that I did not like having to look for a glass to pour this into and the container is not all that easy and confortable to try drinking directly out of.

Furthermore, why in the heck did they decide to pack this as 11 ounces? It's nit picking, I know, but a wise observer would be able to tell that no matter what you do, you're either put in the bad situation of having too much for one individual's glass but still too little for two people to split it evenly and be left with enough. That is certainly frustrating when all you want to do is have juice.

If you decide to buy this, serve it thoroughly chilled and without ice. It tastes bad when it's warm and too watery when you add ice cubes. It'll also go well with a little hard alcohol mixed in it, preferably gin or rum.

Oh yeah, and it's made in Brazil, so if you've got a problem with imported products from that region (I don't, but I know some people who do), just a heads up.

3just ok, 2008-09-28
Though I've heard some people love this....I just didn't find it appealing. some juices like concord grape or pomegranate are very healthy...filled with antioxidants or other healthy phytonutrients....I'd rather spend my money for those.

1overpriced sugar water, 2008-09-24
Though touted as "One Natural Experience", this product is made from cashew-fruit puree, and has added sugar ("organic sugar cane juice") and citric acid. It has a lot of vitamin C, but there are other, less-expensive fruit products with substantial vitamin C. It has a little calcium and an even smaller amount of iron.

The taste is reminiscent of peach or apricot nectar, though not as strongly flavored. I'd rather have those.

If O.N.E. Cashew Juice were 50 cents, it might be worth considering as an alternative to soft drinks. But at nearly $2, it's outrageously overpriced. You'd be better off grabbing apples, bananas, or navel oranges in the produce section.

2Overly sweet and heavy..., 2008-09-19
I was a bit sceptical of Cashew juice to begin with; however, after drinking a container, it was clear to me that this is definetely not my cup of, eh, juice...It had a very sweet and "heavy" taste, and after sitting for a couple of minutes, it had a very murky appearance in the glass - lots of sediments in the bottom, which to me is just unappealing for a refreshing drink. I did not like it...

4Exellent change of pace from other hum-drum juices, 2008-09-18
As a long-time connoisseur of cashew juice, I was ecstatic to see this product available in the US without having to pay 5 bucks at a Brazilian Rodizio. I became addicted to cashew juice (suco de caju in Portuguese) some 30 years ago while in Brazil.

This product is a little lighter (more watered-down) than my favorites from South America, but it was still excellent. Not too sweet, strong enough to get the flavor, but not too strong for the un-initiated. Highly recommended.
